Consultation, Assessment and Therapy

Consultations, assessment and therapy are available for many problems including anxiety - depression - relationship difficulties - life-stage transitions - stress - post trauma symptoms - life skills development- , adjustment to poor health and other disabling conditions - family trauma – geographical, occupational and retirement transitions.

Persistent and worrying problems can arise from complex and/or everyday issues. This can lead to feelings of frustration, hopeless and helpless. A clinical consultation can help identify the issues and triggers underlying the problem and the factors preventing its resolution.

Therapy is simply an extension of the consultation process and involves a range of psychological interventions (for example cognitive behavioural therapy) to help alleviate the symptoms related to the problem, and where possible, find appropriate resolution for its causative factors.
